Guide for Prospective International (foreign) Students who will study in Indonesia
General Requirements:
- Prospective student has to have a diploma equivalent to an undergraduate (“Indonesian Sarjana“) in Indonesia;
- Prospective students has to have an Identity Card from country of origin;
- Prospective student has to have a Passport/Valid Travel Document for at least 2 years and 6 months;
- Prospective student has to have a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and a Letter of Sponsorship for her/his study from the Director of Institution or responsible person in charge (Guarantor);
- Prospective student has to have a Students Visa and Temporary Resident Permit;
- Prospective student has to have a Study Permit from the Secretariat-General of Higher Education of Indonesia;
- Prospective student has to have a Medical Certificate;
- Prospective students has to have adequate ability of English and Bahasa Indonesia, at least for daily communication.
Procedure for Letter of Acceptance (LoA), Sponsorship Letter, Student Visa, Temporary Resident Permit, and Study Permit (Recommendation Letter):
- Prospective student has to apply and submit all institution requirements directly to designated learning institution;
- If already accepted in the designated learning institution, she/he has to ask for a Letter of Acceptance and a Letter of Sponsorship for her/his study from the Director of Institution or a person in charge (Guarantor);
- Based on the LoA, prospective student could apply a Student Visa and Temporary Resident Permit to Local Indonesia Embassy in her/his country, along with important documents attached as the requirements;
- Prospective students also has to apply for a Study Permit/Recommendation Letter to the Secretariat-General of Higher Education through the designated learning institution.
